I just installed a set of the tip-over bars. It took 10 minutes, and I love'em. These buggers would have saved many a scratch and ding if I had them way back three ST-1300s ago. F1

I have them and they have saved my bike from damage more than once. They are well worth the price.

Bygdawg, Couldn't have been a better moment for the rear tip over bars. Tina and I took a 6 day round trip from Texas through AR and Missourri. While in one of the Mark Twain forest area's with Tina on the back we turned around to take a photo of an old trading post. AS we were caught off balance on the gravel turn around the weight was too much and over it went. We had the right gear on and Tina slid across the gavel. I had no concern for the bike for I had already placed in my mind that it could only fall so far over. Now we had to get it back up right. Taking top box off full of road gear and side cases were empty "back at the cabin" but a full tank of gas. Tina pulled on the high tip over bar and together got it up. Dang those slanted gravel turn aounds. Blessed with the tip over bars. It was a moment cause out of Tina's mouth came "I'm telling no one".

Rancher,
Glad to hear they saved you guys some trouble. They are handy about helping get the bike back up, especially if you, as you did, have a helper handy. As an added bonus, they don't let the bike fall quite so far over. Therefore, you don't have as far to go to get it upright again. With a bike as heavy as our ST's, all the help you can get is warranted when it comes to righting the bike. Now that you've got the initial testing out of the way, maybe you won't have to be using them again anytime soon. Ride Safe, Bygdawg |
