The first thing I did on my 1976 Honda G5 and then my 1977 Honda CB550F2, was change the stock headlamp to a Cibie H4. It needed the headlamp bezel off a Mini 1000 to fit into the casing. The Cibie was way ahead of the Honda light and is still good enough today.

Those were the days, my 65 Plymouth Bevedere ( 383 w/three on the tree) had an exposed bellows by the foot headlight dimmer that you pumped for windshield washer. Advanced technology.

I did similar with my '78 Yamaha XS750E and my '83 Honda VF750F. Had to replace the whole headlight shell to use the H4 halogens. I picked a european reflector / lens assembly. Never got a second look from the cops.

I used Cibie on my '80 Honda 750K and my Ford Supervan.
Fantastic lights, for the time.
