I am thinking of ordering Delkevic mufflers which also have removable silencers. You can get 14"/18" oval or 13"/17" tri-oval in 304 Stainless or Carbon Fiber. Prices start at $355 and go up.

I've heard some like them, some don't. I've also heard they will require some ECU tweaking. I run the factory pipes (I love the quiet), and have zero actual experience with the Delkevic's.

ECU Tweaking ?
Isn't that the very thing that many have tried and all have failed?
More than a few have made the claim that they have broken through the barrier of a locked down ECU but in reality we have not seen a single one successful.

The reality of a slip-on can is noise and unfortunately most still equate a gain in noise to be a gain in horsepower.
It is incredibly rare the the two happen at the same time.
The noise is easy. The horsepower is not.

Well, in truth, I meant airflow/fuel ratio. There are some settings that should at least be looked at. Whether or not any changes need to be made I can't say. I'm reminded of Redfish and his experience with the slip-ons. He didn't like them, and the bike "felt" different to him - and didn't seem to run quite right. If I had the thread memorized, I'd link it - but I"m too lazy to go looking for it.

I believe he ended up attributing his problems to an air leak associated with the mid-pipe or some connection between the header and the muffler.

Quality slip-ons will come with new gaskets.
Best practice is change them when installing new cans.
Pricey and quite fragile.
