Redfish had a set...as far as I know, he still does. I don't think he went to any great effort to sell them. Shot him a PM.

He only used them for a short time. Louder than original were one of th cited reasons for removal. That happens when you want to sneak by a bunch of family without them knowing you've left (for work, just to be clear).

Grin. My bike has Staintune mufflers, which are also louder than stock. Shortly after the bike took up residence in my court, I was notified by each of the neighbors that they are definitely aware of when I leave for work, in a way they are not when I take the car.

As a result, out of courtesy and consideration I try not to leave any earlier than absolutely necessary to go to the office. Weekends are another story...

I had a quick look, but didn't spend a great deal of time this morning, before work, trying to find the story.

Anyway, I believe they're still for sale. I do know he removed them. It's always a personal taste thing with your bike and what you put on it or don't.

Just got back, sent a PM.

I sold the Delkevics about a month and a half ago. I sincerely hope that they make their new owner happier than they made me.

I hated them. The longer I had them on the bike, the more I hated them. I hated them so much I was almost willing to pay someone to take them. I almost sold them for scrap metal.

While not offensively loud, they sounded... terrible. They made my bike run like crap. It seemed to run worse every day. I was replacing plugs, running injector cleaner, running fuel treatment, checking the air filter...

The did look good though. Really good. They looked better in the box with the UPS label on it headed to their new owner.

I have Delkevic 18" Tri-oval and I like them very much. They are not that much louder than stock. Once you increase the RPM over 2000, the ST whine takes over. I had it tested at a Policy Motorcycle Loudness Awareness event. it measured at 81Db. The police had a set way to test bike loudness. the legal limit was 91Db. 91Db is twice as loud as 81.

Regardless of the numbers, they are not that loud. They look good and the bike runs cooler around the muffler area. Don't look for performance improvement, you can't feel it. The gas mileage is about the same. So is it worth spending the money on? it will depend on how individualized you want your ST.
