I have the Bestem bags. They have an additional outside pocket, which comes in handy. They've held up pretty well, showing no wear after four years of use. Whatever you do, don't buy the Honda accessory liners. They are too narrow, and don't fully fill out the saddlebags. The TLC bags look good, too, but in the final analysis both are just cloth containers so that you can pack without removing the saddlebags. Either one will serve you well.

As far as the topbox liner is concerned, I didn't bother to get one. The heavier stuff goes down low, in the saddle bags. Lighter weight things that I always want with me on the bike (small compressor and plug kit, rain gear, ball cap, cigar case, etc.) goes in the top box.

Don`t think you can beat the price and the quality of the TLC Bags. On top of that you are putting locals to work, which in this day and age seems to be harder and harder to do.

I need a set of bags also. However I am confused! What's the difference between standard and wide? Don't both fit just fine? Why not get a larger bag if it fits?

I don't want a larger bag, for the saddlebags.
I want space for other things.
I can pack just the things that I want to take in a room, in the bag and leave the other stuff in the lid (jumper cables, tie-downs, jacket liner etc).

I have the black '04 version of these.

I have the wide Bestem saddlebag liners. If I had it to do over, I'd get the narrow ones.

The reason is, at least the way I pack them, they tend to sag down and "grow" wider at the bottom. They can interfere with the hinge and closing the saddlebag.

And as was mentioned, some things you may want to put in the saddlebag outside the liner bag, so smaller liners are not disadvantaged.

I don't, but just bought an '07 and previous owner had a Givi top box hooked into the electricts which added a big brake lite.

I don't like the look so will not be using it, b ut he loved it and he was a real techy with all the add-ons.

Just a caution on TLC bag liners. I ordered a set on 7-12-2012 on the internet and paid with a credit card. Checked with them today 8-2-2012 about my order and the phone #'s don't work, have sent them an E-mail, but no reply. I googled them and found other people are having the same problem of not getting their bags. The website is still up and taking orders but you cannot contact anyone and it appears bags are not getting shipped. I will update as soon as i know more.
