Send Red Dirt Cowboy a PM. That should go to his e-mail at home, whether he reviews the site or not.

However, I don't think he was ever selling the GW bars - just the adapter plates. Check eBay. They're out there all the time - mostly from trike conversions.

and yes I also have a few of the powder coated bars left, may not do more after I run out but I'll see, depends on my sourcing of GW bars.

Update: I still have a decent number of adapter kits in stock @$48/set. I am out of powdercoated bars and probably won't do more for a while. I have one set of touched up black F6B bars for $75, and lots of chrome take-off bars for $40/pair. All prices are plus shipping and assume payment by paypal friends and family. CONUS shipping is $7.15 for the kits and $13.60 for the bars and kits together. Happy to ship internationally, please inquire for shipping costs... If you're int'l I would suggest you only buy the kits and source bars locally as that will come out cheaper.

You have a choice of matte black or chrome finish, but the fit is the same.

You should use longer bolts and the install is easier if you remove only one bolt at a time from each side.

The difficulty lies in reducing the spread of the bars. Some guys use a large hose clamp and tighten it until the holes in the bars line up.

I used a scissor car jack. If you wrap the bars with towels to prevent scratching, you set it between the arm of the jack. As you tighten the jack (as if you are lowering a car), the bars reduce in footprint.

These bars are very strong. They have saved my lower legs twice.

BTW...A passenger can still use the pegs, but the saddlebag lid rubs a bit when it is fully open.

Good luck and ride safe.
