Default Finally mounted my Cell phone to my ST.

I finally got around to making a mounting system for my cell phone.
I used 304 Stainless steel hard .050 for the holder mount and 6061 Aluminum T-6 .500 for the spacer.
The phone is a Samsung Note 2 with a bigger battery.
Now I can see who’s calling before I answer it on my Sena SHM10R head set plus I can stream music from my phone an also see who is playing.

I will powder coat the bracket this coming week same color as the HeliBars Handlebar Riser.

I'm just an old fart, I know that however this is my 2 cents worth.

We have far too many distractions these days on 4 wheels never mind on 2 wheels.

As far as I'm concerned the place for the cell phone while riding is in the trunk turned off.

And the same goes for music.
I ride fine for days on end with just my thoughts and the experience the open road.

There is no place for all that stuff in my motorcycle world.

I'm gonna say that if you can't do without it then you should consider a cage with all the luxuries

I like to listen to music while riding, but I sure wouldn't mess with a phone. It can wait til I stop and take a stretch/drink/pee break and I'll check my phone then. But, to each his own. Some people are multitaskers, some are not.

And some who think they are, kill others.

And themselves too in some cases. We have several documented cases on riding forums of riders killed or injured while distracted by GPS screens and the multitude of other electronic garbage some seem to love mounting to their handlebars and fairings.

It looks great! & quite professional. I'm not that talented, i have to buy my mounts online.

& I Love listening to Music on the Road, & can't think of a single time in the last 20 years when i thought it was distracting.
Now the GPS, Camera or Radar detector is a different story. Common sense goes along way.

I used to tell myself "Stop looking at that speedometer you idiot!"

When stuff happens it usually happens too fast to do anything about it.

But not always....

The most common accident is going to fast around corners which is really a beginners problem.
