Default Huh?

Clear lens and clear bulbs on front turn signals.
Smoked lens on front and rear lights.
Red front turn signals.

What is it that these geniuses don't understand?

I am sorry but I have no idea what you are talking about here. Amber signals in front, Amber or red in the rear.

Unless he's talking about people modifying cars, I have no idea, either.

All three are illegal under Federal vehicle laws.
The clear T/S lens are OK but the bulbs must be amber up front.
Red T/S are OK in the rear.
No smoked lens over headlight front or brake/tail rear.

Yes, Paul understands.
These are things that I have seen on cars and bikes.

I get it. I've seen it on cars, but not on bikes, so far. I've seen people put really tiny lights on the backs of bike (which seems stupid to me). Tiny lights = harder to see. They don't see us now, why make it more difficult? plus, those tiny running/brake lights will flash half left for left turn, half right for right turn...I think flash is too strong a word. They flicker between amber and red.

Mostly the tinting or smoking is from a spray can they purchase at O'Reilly's or AutoZone. Pretty sure there's a warning on the can that it's not for street use, but no one seems to care. During the day you can barely make out the brake lights, and at night, they just sort of glow.

Those what you're talking about?

IMHO the fogginess of the lens equals the fogginess of the brain.
