I need to wash and wax mine before winter sets in. I'm just afraid to remove the protective layer of dirt from this year.

;-)

Things tend to fall apart, or leak, if you remove too much dirt.

No sir, I am jealous that you have a dirtbike to ride. And a VFR. And the best looking color ST that they sold. And you do the best ride reports on this forum. Other than that, I am not jealous at all.

Took Natasha to work. She's running very well now. Took a slightly circuitous route home, and ended up going 152.9 miles today. Tomorrow she'll sit in the garage, as I have errands to run, and multiple cases of water and stuff just won't fit on her too well. I'm sure I'll heave a heavy sigh when I walk by her in the morning, though.

Natasha? Really? I hope your wife does not get too jealous. Before I got Ole Blue I had a Suzuki. I called her Suzy the Suzuki. How foolish we can be sometimes.

Last night I sat up very late sorting out daughter number 2's laptop. A zillion updates and installation of security software (she'd let her subscription laps) later and I crawled off to bed. Then this morning it was beautiful and so I opened the garage door and tried to start ST. Battery Tender not working too well, not enough volts to fire the engine so off with the side panel, connect jump cables to the Land Rover, hit the red button and we have lift off. I rode a massive distance of 5.5 miles to work and then sat out the front with a coffee trying to get motivated to actually work. I've failed on that!

Battery is about 3 years old. It was my battery tender that was faulty. The ST stood outside at work all day and started without trouble 8 hours later. I've just connected it up again and I see that when I waggle the cable going from the tender to the bike, the charge, low charge, desulphate etc lights all flick on and off in various combinations. It's quite a few years old and has been knocked about quite a lot so I think it's time for a new one!

Walked by it on the way to the cage...
It was raining steadily when I left this AM and the Weather prognosticator's all
said 100% throughout the day is the expectation.

BTW Redfish... The rest of the "saying" in your tagline:
Never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you down to his level and beat you with experience;
and spectators won't be able to tell who is who.

Thanks Henry, I like it but it's too long. I intend to change it from time to time as the mood strikes.
BTW I also left in the a.m. rain and drove the truck.
