Default Netgear Router

I have a Netgear WNDR4500 router.
It is dual band.
Both bands are displayed in my Internet access.
When I connect to the router, which band do I connect to, or does it make any difference?

As listed in the article, dual-band simply means it transmits/receives on both 2.4G and 5G. Lots and lots of devices use 2.4, since it's the most compatible signal across all wireless connections. If possible, use the 5G connection, as fewer devices will use it, and you'll have less interference on your wireless connection. If your device doesn't support it, then you'll have to drop back to the 2.4G connection.

If you don't have interference, than it doesn't matter. Neither connection is "faster" than the other. It's simply a matter of interference and compatibility.
