Default Euro-Tour 2015

Well, I'm about to set off on my annual bash around EuroLand. This year I am catching the ferry from Plymouth (UK) to Santander to ride the Spanish Picos and then heading along the Spanish side of the Pyrennees before heading north through France, staying with friends at Labatut-Riviere and then other friends near Angouleme. 16 days along many new to me roads and a few old favourites. Here is a rough outline of the general route.

Looks like an awesome time to me. I've seen many of those places, but most with SWMBO and form my cage. I'd love to ride EuroLand again. /sigh /jealous

Looking forward to lots of pix, though!

New Michelin Pilot Road 3 on the back this afternoon, followed by an oil and filter change, top up of coolant and a TomTom update and she's good to go. Now I spose I'd better go pack. Doesn't take me long. A few clothes, a very few tools, a credit car, a mobile phone and a load of Euro's for beer and food and a full tank of fuel each day. We generally do about 250 miles per day but that's quite enough on the roads we use, fueling up just before arrival at each hotel.

Yes , my son Kevin and I did a nine day Edelwies tour starting in the South of France and all through the Alps. It was the trip of a lifetime. No doubt the best time I have ever spent on a bike even though my ride was an R1100 boxer that shifted like a power take off on a cement mixer. It was light and handled nice since the chase truck carried all our stuff! If you have been dreaming about going, JUST DO IT !!!
