Default Redfish Wrecks his New Ride

My 2015 FJR arrived at the dealer last Tuesday. I picked it up Friday evening. Less than 12 hours later I wrecked it.

Friday night was cold, very cold for South Louisiana. I was so excited to have my new FJR with Heated!!! grips that I decided to ride it to work. The new FJR is wonderful, the refinement, the beauty, the electronic suspension. Did I mention the Heated Grips?

On my way home with 22 miles on the new FJR, it slipped out from under me. I was making a very low speed left turn at an intersection, no one around. It just slid out from under me. I have to believe there was ice/frost on the surface there, nothing in my experience ever gave me such a complete and instant loss of traction.

I have one fractured rib, and one scratched up FJR. I am miserable right now.

Crashing your bike is one of the worst feelings to have. Get better soon and repair that new fjr.

Oh no! Really sorry to hear about this. I can only imagine how sickened about wrecking a brand new bike you must be... this in addition to a fractured rib.

Hope you heal quickly.

Sorry to hear, Red. You are not replaceable, so be careful and heal well. Everything else is.

As usual, if you need anything, let me know.

+1 on all replies; this one got the closest to what I'd have said.
