Default Down, and out!

I hope I can continue to be a member on this forum; I know I don't post a lot, but I'm going to be in the market for a new bike. See, someone decided at a light, while it was still red , that as soon as it turned, he would try to beat the traffic going straight ,as he was turning left. I was going straight , he turned in front of me accelerating to get on the highway, and I launched over the handlebars resulting in a concussion, some scrapes on my face from the inside of my helmet, and a free ride to the hospital in a really fast, colorful vehicle! Luckily, nothing happened to the other driver. PLEASE people, watch for motorcyclists while you're driving, and when you're riding, watch for irresponsible drivers..... they're everywhere.

Thank you Paul, I'm guessing the FJR will be my next bike. Now comes the ugly game of dealing with the insurance companies. Though I'm out for the season, I'll be back in the spring. I just hope I can get everything put on the new bike before the riding season starts.
The garage looks awful empty without my beloved ST.

Sorry for your loss. I hope you heal quickly.

Go and buy a lottery ticket, it appears your lucks in.
Walking away relatively unhurt from that is a result.
Pleased it has not put you off riding.

You're right...they're everywhere. Glad you survived your meeting with that one. Heal up fast and well. Looking forward to more posts, from your next new ride.

Wow impressive wreck!

I'm thankful you came out better than your bike did.

Luckily nothing happened to the other driver?

Thanks everyone for the well wishes; I consider myself very blessed, and am thankful I had drivers beside me, and behind me that kept traffic from running me over. it may sound odd, but sitting around , not able to check email, watch television,or even read (doctors orders, no media, just relax!) sucks. Hope you all have a great week!

Dammit. And you had just posted that excellent RR.

I am grateful that you are alive and able to post this.

There are plenty of excellent ST1300s available with low miles and probably some still new in dealerships around the country.

If you do decide to go with the FJR, let me know if you have questions.
