Thanks again, this info is invaluable.

GO back and CAREFULLY read Post #5 until it sinks in!

Good Luck!

PS People buy mc's all the time and they sit in the garage unridden for various reasons. Its a good reason to NEVER buy one new because you can get one MUCH cheaper that way.

Mc's arent like beautiful women. If you see one of THOSE that is going unridden LOOK OUT!

The ST13 weighs 700 lbs. Once its moving its very light on its feet even at low speeds. You will have a period of aclimatization starting and stopping and waiting at lights, but the rest of it makes it worth it IMO.

Hello everyone, I've found an 05 with 22k miles for $5800. It has lots of farkles and aside from a few minor cosmetic blemishes, is perfect. I'm thinking I'll make the purchase, pending approval of upper management. (my wife) I really think its a good deal.

That sounds like a darn good deal for an '05 with just 22k miles.

Thumbs up Re: Another ST1300 wannabe

Sounds good-Red right?

I know this $2200 more

-I saw a 2007 with 1,700 miles for $7995-It was in Tennessee around Chattanooga area on cycletrader--stock doesn't appear to have any farkles

Just sharing what I saw

Yes, it's candy red metallic, my favorite of the colors. The one in Tennessee sure looks like a great deal but the 05 is in Georgia and the price suits my budget a little better.

That sounds good to me. I wish my 2005 had 22k on it 😀.

I've owned mine 9 years and it's been good to me. I'm 5' 6" with a 29" inseam and the ST fits me perfectly. I've had other bikes alongside of it but it's the only one that can be the "only" bike if I could have just one. Living in FL it is a hot bike in the summer (many are..... It's all relative) but like others have said I wear boots and it's OK and I've never been bothered to a point where I wish it wasn't so hot even in the 105-107 degree desert southwest. I'm to the point where if I were to replace the ST I'd do like you and find a garage queen ST1300 and reset the odometer.
