I like the picnic table method also but, be careful. People become concerned that something might be wrong with you and they tend to come try to wake you up to see if you're alive.

LOL

Also, sometimes the sprinklers hit the picnic table areas. Don't ask me how I know. ;-)

Sleeping in a camp ground is no warranty sprinklers won't get you, either. Also, I once was near out of gas and used a church lawn across from a gas station... wasn't the first time sprinklers woke me up, but was the first time it was intentional - go LDS!

I once used the lawn of an elementary school on a Sunday.

Probably not a good idea.
