Default Watching Long Distance Down with the wife

Our daughter gave us a Smart TV for xmas and we just figured out how to get Netflix on it. Currently we are watching the series Long Distance down about the two Brits who rode to Capetown from John O Groats and made a big deal TV production about it.

Its kind of sickening how much money they spent and all the people they hired to do the work for them. I planned and rode my trips alone!

But the wife is loving it which comes as a shock. She never rode with me. Never gave me a send off or a welcome home. Never gave any indication she was interested in what I was doing.

Now that I think of it I prefer it that way! It just makes you wonder what could have been.

Long way down? If she enjoyed that, it's predecessor "Long way Around" was even better. Ewan McGregor is Scottish BTW.

BTW here are echos tips for riding trips for max enjoyment

go alone

no sightseeing just ride

get up at 4am and stop when tired

stay at friends and relatives and let them show you around
