Long time Goldwing rider and IBA member. I decided to try a lighter more nimble bike. The ST 1300 seemed to fit the bill. I joined to take advantage of the wisdom of the board.

I found a very low mile 2006 abs with all of the whistles and bells. Now I will add all of the necessary farkles to make it just right! With Mark Ries to help me spend money I am sure it will be just great.

I am almost Joe,s neighbor as I live in central Washington in the small town of Naches.

I have a garage with most of the necessary tools to fix bikes and have no problem helping anyone who needs it.

Hello and welcome.
Has anyone told you, you have a remarkable resemblance to John Wayne and who's the guy in the red Tee shirt?

Hi Jeff,

Come join us at Mark Reis' place on October 4th. We're having a little tech teaching gathering there. A couple guys needed their brakes done and wanted to learn how to do it themselves.

Coffee and donuts in the morning starting at 10am. Lunch to be served also.

If you want to get in on the brake job training, bring $100, your own brake pads, and brake fluid. Mark has all the tools, the knowledge, and a bike lift.

Or, just come to kick tires.

Welcome to the forum.

Yes, welcome. I'm new in the forum myself and have yet to acquire the ST - I'm still riding my V-Strom but looking to move up before the (local) riding season next year.

Have my eye on at least one 2005 here in town but would prefer to get something a little younger although they seem to age very well.

Thanks all. Joe I would take you up on meeting at Marks but I am of on a unofficial Chili Burger Ride that weekend. Imagine that!

Look forward to meeting the good folks on the list.

By the way I was in Hull in July. Too bad you didn't catch me then! I am mistaken for John Wayne all of the time.

I hadn't heard about any Chili burger ride. Is it to the usual place in Horseshoe Bend, ID?

A bunch of us meet in Enterprise Or and ride the Snake River on Saturday and then come back to my place on Sunday for a BBQ and BS session. Been doing it for a few years now.

Ah, I see.

That's different from the IBA organized "Chiliburger Run" to Horseshoe Bend, ID.

We used to do that every year also. I don't think anyone has organized it for the last few years, however.

Have fun.
