Welcome,

Always wanted to visit Ireland. Apparently, we have some distant relatives somewhere around there.

They're lost in the mists of time, however.

Enjoy the forum. I see you're already asking questions about brakes.

Scottish. Scotch is a drink. Probably my biggest pet peeve, being Scottish, Dutch, and English myself. With a bit of French thrown in (not sure how that made the cut).

Don't forget Ugly. Both of you. You two may be all those other things but you need to be honest and include "Ugly".

In modern use, "Scottish people" or "Scots" is used to refer to anyone whose linguistic, cultural, family ancestral or genetic origins are from within Scotland. The Latin word Scotti[14] originally applied to a particular, 5th century, Goidelic tribe that inhabited Ireland.[15] Though sometimes considered archaic or pejorative,[16] the term Scotch has also been used for the Scottish people, though this usage is current primarily outside Scotland.[17][18]
