Hello,

I just purchased a 2006 ST1300 after having to give up my VFR800 Interceptor. I look forward to your comments and observations.

The 3 best colors: 2003 Silver, 2006 Black, and 2012 Metallic Black.

I always loved how my '98 Black ST1100 looked after a nice wash and wax. ;-)

Of course you are wrong about the Best Color. The '05 Burgundy was the best looking and the '04 SuperFastBallisticBlue is the fastest.

How would you KNOW how that ST looked after a wash and wax? Every picture I ever saw of that bike it looked like it had been ridden 1000 miles a day in mud and rain for 11 days in a row... But, of course it had been!

Too bad you couldn't have kept the VFR as a stable mate to the ST1300. My '00 VFR was my favorite bike of all time.

Welcome.

I agree. I had a 2002 VFR800 after I sold my ST1100 and before I got my first ST1300. It was a fun bike.

But, I like the ST1300 better.

Me too.... as a long distance touring bike,... but for weekend jaunts and 2 or 3 days tours off the interstate, the VFR's fun factor is just WAY beyond that of the ST. But if you have to ride a lot of superslab to get where you're going, the ST wins that contest hands down.
