Default Did you know that I was gone?

I've been locked out of the forum for a couple weeks due to forgetting my password or having someone hack it.

I think I just forgot.

But, I finally got some help from vBulletin support and was able to log into the vBulletin database directly and update my password with a SQL query.

It worked!

Oh, but that was after I had to re-install Windows 8.1 after the latest Windows 10 update screwed up my pc.

It's been a fun couple of weeks.

What have I missed?

No. We did not know. Because you ignore us most of the time and you don't care about us anymore and we are running around like those kids on the movie Lord of the Flies and we have no leadership and nobody cares about us even though you just bought Mario's old ST1300 and we thought/hoped that you would come back and talk to us but you just won't.

Glad you got it all straightened out and you are back.

Have you been riding that ST?

Yes, I have ridden it a few times. Last weekend, I rode it down to see my father and sister (about 100 mile round trip).

I noticed something about the Heli-bars - they are loose. The two main bolts that are supposed to screw down into the triple-tree plate still turn freely both ways.

For some reason, I can't unscrew them and take them out. I think that they must be the wrong bolts and are just a bit small. It's going to be a pain to get them out of there as they just turn freely.

Heavy sigh

So far, while I was ignoring all you guys and gals, I've installed a V-Stream windshield with an Aeroflow Laminar flow-plate under it. Great combination.

I've installed Throttle Meister bar ends which also act as a manual throttle lock.

I've put Grip Puppies over my grips. I've installed a Heli-bar riser (although now it looks like I used the wrong bolts).

I've installed some Goldwing chrome tip-over bars with an adapter made by one of our members here. Looks and works well.

I've replaced the left mirror mechanism that was fixed by adding a regular mirror with a Honda OEM mirror (the difference in brightness and resolution was very annoying).

Things that I need to do yet:

- Fix the Heli-bars.
- Get my old tank bag/Heattroller rig from Mario.
- Hook up the powerlet plug in the Heli-bar riser.
- Get new tires mounted and balanced.
- Wire up the Bluetooth adapter with my 2 GPS's and Valentine 1.
- Get out riding more.

Eventually, I am also going to schedule a ride-in appointment with Russell Day-Long Saddle makers and get this Bill Mayer saddle replace. At the end of that 100 mile ride to and from my father's place made me realize that the Mayer saddle doesn't fit me.

You didn't, like, TEST them, did you???

I still need to get those plates. The GW bars are just sitting here in the garage.

I was wondering - i had expected to hear from you, but in all reality there's nothing I can do if your not here.

While you were out, I went and picked up a rack (too tall, but for $30, it'll work), installed the server rails, shelf for routers, and am waiting for another paycheck to pick up the first UPS. I won some sort of award at work (I don't have the e-mail here), and I think it comes with a cash payout, so that will pay for the second UPS. We had a power fluctuation, and the servers shut down (hard). SWMBO knows we need them, and has told me to get them - just waiting on cash. However, I'm going to install everything in the rack (hopefully) this weekend. I can bring the UPSs on-line later as required. The good news is, everything came back up very well.

Yeah, I've been really busy and then, I couldn't access anything for a couple weeks. WTF?

This weekend, I want to run a backup that you can then test with restoring, etc.

I work Saturdays but, I'll try it when I get off work.

Joe

I have zero issues sending cash to San Antonio to help with getting the necessary equipment to run this forum.

I humbly await your call.
