Default The sin of Farkling

Hi Guys

If farkling is a sin, I am a guilty to the point of doom. I have farkled to the point where I can't mount the left side fairing anymore. Too many added wires. Will report to the nearest Farklers Anonymous chapter immediately..

Does anybody have a picture of the wiring on the left side near the radiator and ignition coils ? I don't remember the original routing of the wiring harness, particularly the big white connector and this big bundle of connectors inside the transparent sleeve...

That big rectangular connector has to clip into the left side faring or you'll have trouble getting it to set in place properly.

My big white connector hasn't fit into the fairing, since I installed the accessory harness and a multitude of other harnesses. The fairing just has to be finagled a little but not a big deal, for me.

Just remember, the wiring goes in the bike, not on the bike.

Ah, you mean those two annoying protrusions on the left side pocket that I just cut off because it was interfering with the white connector.
I always wondered about them. I don't remember ever seeing that connector in that bracket..

Still, good to know the connector is supposed to go in that position. One less variable ! Thanks !

The connector pops out pretty quickly when you remove the side fairing. I just guessed that's what went where the first time I got into it. Seemed to make sense to me.

If it's not there, the connector will hang, and the support once provided by the fairing will allow the weight to wear on the wires in the connector. Shouldn't be a big deal, but if you ever start having electrical demons, remember this.

Nah, Jeff's been through that, I'm sure. I thought about him, too.

Thanks guys, once I moved the big white one outside and the bundle to the inside, the cover snapped right in place. Finally!
Now to fess up to the extent of my Farkling Sinns : I have added an Instant Honda Exclusive Parking. Unfortunately, only works at night :
