Default ST1300 - 3rd LED Brake Light

ST1300 - 3rd Brake Light

I have a 2004 ST1300 and was really interested in finding a 3rd brake light for the bike. After a month of searching and not finding hardly anything at all let alone a 3rd brake light made for the ST1300 I decided to make my own.

It goes under the rear grab bar cover, it's stealthy and doesn't interfere with the use of the luggage rack. It turned out so well I had to make a second one for a friend.

It looks very nice.

Unfortunately, it would not work on my bike as my Hondaline Trunk would cover it up.

You could have a look at the Admore Lights or the Whelen LEDs. Both of those companies make some excellent kits for our bikes with numerous options.

Although, after looking at your light, I think that is pretty damn cool! I am impressed.

Nice, does the cover still sit flat where it mounts? or are you lifting it a bit?

My question as well. I am sorely tempted by this thing.

The LED aray raises the Grab Bar Cover by about 3/16" not even enough to really notice unless you are looking for it...or it's flashing at you...

BTW it still sits level front to back and side to site as the kits I am putting together include rubber spacers to maintain level

I read your thread on "The Other Forum" as well. I think this is a really slick idea. I find myself tempted. For sure I wish you luck with this project.

I've seen Hyper-Lights installed under the rail to good effect too. And they can be seen even if you do have a Trunk installed on top.

I like the looks of this installation over the Hyper-Lights, though.

Any issue with fitment of the Honda or Givi trunk bracket?
