I used to market a Parking Brake for the ST1100. I can still produce them if there is any demand. I have subsequently manufactured one for the ST1300, it works on the same principle. If anyone wants one they can contact me directly via my web site
http://www.tworrall.talktalk.net/
Alternatively you can see the new brake on Ebay UK - just search on ST1300 Parking Brake

Thank you Dave for your purchase.
The Ebay ads have been altered to try and make thing simpler.
There is one advert for the earlier models 2004 to 2008 which includes a replacement lever.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-ST13...item35cdb9b9c8

and a 2nd advert for the A9 Model 2009 onwards - because of the high cost of a replacement Lever a drilling kit has been included so that you can easily modify your existing Lever

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-ST13...item35cdb9eb52

Full detailed NEW instructions can be found on my web site

http://www.tworrall.talktalk.net/

Thanks again to all my customers, your feedback is my reward.

I noticed some conflicting information.

Ebay says 2004-2008 and your website says ST1300 Earlier Models 2005-2008.

And what happened to the 2003 model?

Will this work with the GoldWing lever?

Thank you for the information.
I have to admit that I am somewhat unsure of the date that the very early models changed to the type of lever shown in my Ebay advert and web site. I have come across conflicting info.

If anyone can help I would be much obliged.

I have seen this lever on Ebay which indicates it is a 2002 - 2004 but have never come across one myself.

Hope to hear from some knowledgeable ST1300 folks, I would dearly like to be able to offer Parking Brakes for ALL years of ST1300.

As far as the query about Goldwings, I cannot offer any info. I think there will be many types of front master cylinder. I really feel I must concentrate on getting ALL the ST1300s catered for before considering other bikes.

I was fortunate with the ST1100 as there were only 2 small variations of master cylinder which I could cater for with a single design.

This page might help:

http://stwiki.notonthe.net/twiki/bin...delYearChanges

Which also has a link to several parts catalogs on-line:

http://stwiki.notonthe.net/twiki/bin...3/PartsCatalog

May take some digging to get it all figured out. I was looking into the clutch reservoir, and found that the cover was the same on several different bikes, including the GL1800, which meant any switch block designed for one of the gold wings would fit my ST just fine. Using that approach might help. Finding how many different part numbers are available for the brake assembly would tell you how many variations there are. Maybe a small step, but a step, nonetheless.

Thanks for the Parts List link.
Just spent an hour looking through it at different years and ST1300 & ST1300A designations.
I am now more confused than before.
So far I have seen 3 different part numbers for the Lever but the years do not match the changes.
If anyone can tell me which ST1300 this lever goes on I would be much obliged.

Better still, if anyone has an ST1300 which uses this lever and lives near me (see my web site for address / contact details etc) I will make them a Parking Brake and fit FOC if they will let me have their bike for couple of hours in my garage.

2003 ST1300 53170-MCS-G01
     ST1300A 53170-MCS-G01
(using the "code" wrap is the only way to make it line up correctly). I tried to make a table, but the forum software wouldn't let me (table, /table, td, /td, tr and /tr tags).

I see 2 part numbers, and it basically changes in 2008, except for the "P" versions, which maintain the same part numbers. If a model isn't listed, it's because there was no parts fische for it.

I also see that third part stuffed in here and there (53170-MCS-R01). Only for the 2008/2009 model years, though. No idea why its listed as it is.

Not sure if that helps of not....

I can't help with the eBay link you posted. That's an after market part, and if the article is correct (2002 - 2004), then I'm confused, as there was no ST13 in 2002. That's why you have to be careful when purchasing from someplace like eBay or someone who only knows the bike on the surface.

Are you the man or are you the man?

Scott, I do not know how you simplified it like you did but I am so grateful indeed

It looks like there are only really 2 types that I should be concerned with and I think they are the 2 that I have covered on my 2 Ebay ads.

It should be clear to any potential customer to identify their Lever type by looking at the photos - one has a concaved spherical location for the master cylinder and the other is a flattish plate.

Do you have an ST1300 and if so do you want a P/Brake FOC. I am that grateful.

Look forward to hearing from you

I mentioned it because some of us use GoldWing, or CBR1000RR levers on our ST1300's.

Pan European 2002 also described as the STX 1300 . . . https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=st+1300+2002

Scott . . . the E-Bay site He mentioned was in UK http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1506932643...84.m1423.l2649

Some ST 1300 where built and sent in North america in 2002 .But, here they said to be the 2003 model . I have one of them
