Every half hour slow down to 45 mph and stand up on the pegs for a minute and you can go a long time.

You cant use the brakes standing up.

Nor can you use the mirrors.

Unless you have a helmet mirror.

Paul,

I agree with you.

But, perhaps Echo meant to say "For short distances, all seats are the same"?

If so, I might concede his point.

For long distances, I wouldn't agree.

Since Echo hasn't done a thousand mile day (or close to it), I have to conclude that that is what he meant.

Otherwise, I would have to assume he was just trying to get a rise out of us. ;-)

Go figure...
About 600 miles into a trip down to LA we stopped at a McDonalds for lunch. The first comment I made to my friend was how comfortable the wooden benches were. I think your friends comment has merit.

Echo,

That only helps for the under first 500 miles. After that, only a custom seat made specifically for you helps.

Take it from someone who has actually ridden 1780 miles in 24 hours once, 1500 miles in 24 several times, and 1000 miles in 24 15 or more times.

Echo, your comment is truly hilarious, because when it comes to my bike, I spend money like a drunken sailor- and have found no direct relationship between the dollars spent and the benefit derived. Your comment would only have any legitimacy for those who measure their self worth by the dollars they spend, and from what I can see, most on this list are not in that category.

And I can vouch for Maura as a drunken sailor. Oh wait, I think that was me.

FOTFLMAO!

Echo was just poking fun at us all. Anyone who truly believes there are no differences between seats has a faulty keyboard actuator logic board.
