I have a set of Sargent seat which is bit thicker and firmer than the stock. I removed the two rubber cushions at the bike. the Sargent seat actually sits on the frame of the bike and the front is at the lowest position. Works for me.

In the spring and fall, I use my Spenzied stock seat at the same position. The seat height is lower which give me a more sure footing in slippery surfaces.

I have a Corbin smuggler, which sits lower than stock, so I use the middle setting.

Let's reopen this topic (I know it's been almost a year since the last post.) My 2010 ST has exactly three seat positions. I don't see how it's possible to set the front on the middle and the rear on the lowest position. Anyhow, at 5' 7" I find the middle position to be quite comfy and the 0.6" difference in height is hardly noticable in terms of touching the ground. I couldn't flat foot on both sides at the same time anyway. Plus at the middle position the front of the seat lines up much better with the gas tank and the frame.

You have to bend the seat pan into the middle/low position but it can be done. After a while the pan will bend and remain in shape so you don't have to force it everytime.

Hmmm, let me take another look next weekend. I would like to eliminate that forward tilt. Thanks for the advice.

I had mine in the low spot for a while. I'm gonna try it with the front up high, and the rear down a notch lower.

Rick Mayer leather seat. Top position in front and middle position in the rear. After many years with this positioning I think I would have to force it to go gack to the top in back. The higher front position totally eliminates the "sliding forward" thing for me. Also Rick built up the front a little more then stock. I have long legs. Love the seat.

Currently having my stock seat "Spencer-ized" so don't know about it yet, but due to inseam, 29" run the Sargent in Low/Low. Don't really see how to get the seat into Middle/Low without using a BFH, I can't force it.....
