KLo how did you go with middle front and lower back? Mine goes on like that with out too much persuasion.

Right now using the middle setting. But in the very near future will be going to an aftermarket tour seat.

I customized my seat position using a 2# hammer on the rear loop anchors, followed by making an S bend using an adjustable wrench and pry bar. You can also add shims to the front or rear of the seat bracket assembly, if the loop adjustment isn't enough.

Middle position in front, Lowest posistion in back works best for me. I'm using a spencerized stock seat..

Top front, middle back. Flattens the seat some, and doesn't force me into the tank as much. Took quite a bit of persuasion to get it there, but now it stays without too much difficulty.

+ 1 here also . . . and it make my lower back stay nicely against the Smuglers's cushion

How do you adjust the rear position? I am currently using the aftermarket Corbin seat I got with the bike not the stock seat.

You can't adjust the pillion seat. But you can tip the front riders seat forward or backward by having the front of it at a different height setting to the back of it. It takes a bit of force but you CAN do it.

Dick, will not work with the Corbin and its rigid pan. You can do it easily with the OEM seat, but not with the Corbin.
