Sorry about that. PayPay changed some code and registration and t-shirts broke. Should be all fixed now.

WeSTOC Update

Hotel Rooms:
There are still rooms available. Everyone on the waitlist has been placed in rooms and we have finished room upgrades for those who requested them so far. During this process we had some rooms held so it may have seemed like the hotel was full.

Campground:
Our reservation block at the campground expires on May 24th. Please make sure you have reserved your campsite before that date. There is a high demand for campsites during this time period so they will fill quickly once our block expires. We also have full-service RV campsites available at the group rate.

New Registrations:
For new registrations after March 27th, if you are unable to find accommodations you will be able to cancel for a full refund on your registration.

T-Shirts:
The deadline for ordering T-Shirts is May 24th. All shirts must be pre-ordered and will be delivered at the event.

It won’t be long now. We are really looking forward to seeing everyone!

For those who have attended previously, what was your favourite part of WeSTOC?

there are more US draft dodgers here (gulf islands especially) than anywhere else in the world !

if you stay, you will be in very good company ....

Or, very bad company, depending upon your point of view.

well I used to work with one years ago, he was a pretty cool dude but did have some rather 'interesting' outllook on things

some advice for the rally goers -

1) Sooke is a bedroom community and you will encounter some serious rush hour traffic especially mid week from 6-9am and again 3-6pm

2) Even worse, there is now construction on the Malahat Drive (hwy #1 north of Victoria) which will cause some delays depending on where you are going

3) There are some excellent side roads (Gillespie, Kagaroo Rd, Happy Valley, ect) which should be explored - prefereably in both directions

4) The official speed limits in the South Island are ridiculously low and the RCMP (Revenue Collecting Military Police) have radar and use it !

5) For the above mentioned reasons, do carry a Radar Detector - you'll be happy you did

PM me for any local questions you may have - I am as local as it gets.
