update!! bike in local shop. Honda is paying for all parts and labor, including new brake line, new pads ,rebuild caliper and replace secondary master cylinder! Apparently this has happened many times. The brake was locked on, pad burned up, line exploded. NOW I was supposed to pick up bike Saturday but shop tells me brake is sticking in on position for 4-5 seconds after release of grip. They don't know why and are calling Honda factory reps for help. Any body run into this?

As usual you miss the salient point in regard that he has just bought it from a BMW dealer.
Not really out of warranty.
Not really good news for dozens of others, or even both of them.
Not really going to get that deal as there wont be many dealers with a 9 year old bike in stock.

Surprised Honda would cover the repairs by an independent shop, unless they happen to be a Honda dealer.

I bought it in BMW shop but repairs are being done by local Honda/Kawa/Yamaha dealer where I took it after brake line exploded.
