I hope so, he was here while I was still lurking and was one of the guys I looked forward to reading. I don't hear much from him anymore.

He lives so far away, that his messages take a long time to get anywhere.

He's still around but, he doesn't post as much anymore. He did say, "Hi" to me a few months ago in an email. Wish I could find it.

He did not actually say that the tire pictured is a BT023. He said that he has used them since they came out, but then says that the sides of his rear tires always wear out first and that he tried to push the miles one time. Not necessarily on the BT, or even on an ST. Sure, kinda reads that way, but it could have been before he even got an ST.....

Maybe OT? - but interesting thread - my NC700X came with the BT-023 tires stock, though the non-GT's. Got 9,000+ miles on the first set, almost to the wear bands on the rear in my second set at ~8,000 miles. I think they're great tires for that bike, would think they would be a good choice for the ST1300 also.

For my one-up riding I find the standard BT023 to be fine. Mileage is good and on return from WeSTOC I noticed that the sides of my (new + 3000 mi.) rear tire showed scuffed, balled-up rubber--just like racing tires. I conclude that the dual compound rear really works. I wear 'em out in the center, but I like the security of a sticky rear in the hard corners.

Guys, I have been running with 023's in Northern Ireland. I have found the grip improved and the bike has a good and more positive feel when cornering. In fact my cornering speed has gone up a bit as well as confidence levels because of the Bridgestones. Obviously tire pressures have to be spot on. Enjoy - Mark
