Re: Fender Extender.

Howdy Larry,

I am definitely going to get one. However, I have to wait for a week or two first before I order. BTW, how do we order one, Larry?

Anyone out there who doesn't already have a Fender Extender, it is a very useful farkle that will save you money in the long run by protecting your radiator from debris.

Not only did I have one on my first ST1300, but I also had a Radiator grill. I've already put a grill on this ST and was going to get another Fender Extender. But, I like the Blue One's version better as it is longer (more protection) and the finish looks better too.

And BTW, you don't have to go all the way over to STO to view more info and pictures on this product. Go to our Vendor's Advertizement subforum at: http://www.st1300.us.com/showthread.php?t=739

Hi Joe, anyone who wants one can simply send me a PM. I will supply a paypal address and get your mailing info. Price details are in the thread with the pictures.

As I said, feedback from the first orders has been pretty positive.

Larry.

Re: Fender Extender.

Hi Blue One, I think this is a great idea. I was looking on the web and noticed some of the similarfender extenders look like they have a screw on each side to help secure it. I noticed the pics you had only used glue. Do you know if these are a different type or the same just with a couple of screws along with the glue.

Thanks,

Re: Fender Extender.

The only other fender extentions I know of are called a Fenda Extenda and are made by a UK company called Pyramid Plastics.

And sometimes they are installed with screws or rivets, even glue occasionally. The glue offers a cleaner installation in my opinion.

I didn't like the length or design of them so made mine longer and offering better coverage and effectiveness.

You didn't mention what type glue that you used.

I put my Fenda Extenda on 5 years ago and used black ABS cement.
I think it looks a lot better than using screws.

Your extender looks very good, anyone have a spare blue front fender?Clapping1

ABS glue is what to use as the extender is made of ABS. And black is the way to go. Although any color will work if you are careful.

I am going to remove the one I have installed and install another one as I made a very slight adjustment to the edge of the extender after the prototype.

So as you see they can be removed, a little cutting and light grinding with a sanding disc being careful to keep it cool so as to not heat the paint and the old one will be gone.

Then I can glue on my new one. :)

Seems that in the crash, a lot of threads were lost.

There was a thread holding some good pictures of my fender extenders, and gone it is

Anyway, here is a shot of my 04 with my STuff STopper installed.

I can quickly send one to anyone who places an order, just drop me a PM.
Larry.
